Part 1. Remove DRM and Convert Apple Music to MP3/M4A/AC3
Apple Music songs and iTunes purchased music are formatted as M4P which stands for MPEG 4 Protected (audio). You can only listen to the M4P files on Apple authorized devices. If you want to enjoy your Apple Music on Android phone, tablet, MP3 Players or other media players, you need to convert M4P to common audio format like MP3.
Step 1. Run Apple Music Converter on PC
Before you get started, please make sure that you’ve installed the latest version of iTunes on your computer. After that, download, install then launch Apple Music Converter on computer. Seconds later, iTunes will be launched automatically together with the program.
Step 2. Preview and Select Apple Music to Convert
This program will automatically load all your iTunes music, Apple Music, Podcast, audiobooks, etc. and you will be able to preview them from the "Playlists" section. Now click on "Library" tab to choose the Apple Music tracks you desired one by one. Or you can select the entire album files by clicking on the checkbox on the top of the menu bar.
Note: If you want to find a specific track, you can use the search function. Simply click on the search bar and type in the information of your track, such as song name, artist, album, etc., then this program will help you find the exact item you need.
Step 3. Customize Output Parameters
Before conversion, you can click on "Metadata" tab to edit the ID3 tags including title, artist, album, genre, album cover, etc.
You can also change the output parameters including codec, bit rate, sample rate, channel, etc. After that, go to "Output Settings" to select your desired output format, such as MP3. You can also choose the location your like to save the converted files by clicking on the "…" button from the “Output Folder” tab.
Step 4. Remove DRM and Convert M4P to MP3
Now click on "Convert" button to start the conversion. You can adjust custom conversion speed for the audio conversion from 1X to 16X by clicking on "Options" > "General" > select "Set custom conversion speed for audio convert".
Part 2. Extract Audio Tracks from iTunes Video Files
Step 1. Select Videos from iTunes Library
After you launch Apple Music Converter, go the "Playlists" then preview categories like TV Programs, Music Videos, Home Videos, etc. to select videos you would like to extract audio tracks from. Pick up the items you need by clicking on them one by one.
Step 2. Select Output Format
Go to "Output Format" and then choose the format you like to save the audio files. You can choose MP3, M4A, FLAC, AIFF, AC3 or others as the output format.
Step 3. Choose Output Folder
Go to "Output Settings" > "Output Folder" to select a destination folder to keep the extracted audio files. To make sure that all extracted audio files are saved in specific pattern, you can go to "Options" > "General" to select "Set custom format for output file name".
Step 4. Start Extracting Audio from iTunes Videos
Now click on "Convert" to start extracting audio tracks from iTunes videos. When the conversion is finished, you can locate the extracted audios directly from the "Explore Save File" section.
Part 3. Convert Audiobooks to MP3/M4A
Step 1. Select AA/AAX Audiobooks
Go to "Playlist" section and select "Audiobooks", you will see all your audiobooks display on the right panel. Choose the audiobooks you need to convert to MP3/M4A by ticking on the checkbox next to them.
Step 2. Select Output Format and Output Folder
Go to "Output Settings" to select MP3 or M4A as the output format. And you can choose the destination folder you like to save the output audiobooks.
Step 3. Click on "Convert" Button
You can now click on the "Convert" button to convert AA/AAX audiobooks to MP3. After the conversion, you can transfer the audiobooks to any device you like for later playback.
