Before we get to the point, let me make a brief introduction of AIFF and FLAC.

What is AIFF?

Unlike the common MP3 audio format, AIFF files are uncompressed. This means, while they retain a higher quality sound than MP3, they do take up significantly more disk space - generally 10 MB for every minute of audio.

What is FLAC?

FLAC stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec, an audio format similar to MP3, but lossless, meaning that audio is compressed in FLAC without any loss in quality.
